🧯 Mobile Foam Unit (MFU)

A Mobile Foam Unit (MFU) is a self-contained, wheeled firefighting system designed to rapidly deploy foam extinguishing agents to combat Class B fires such as flammable liquids and chemical spills.

Core Components

  • Storage Tank: 100–300L foam concentrate (FRP/SS)
  • Inline Inductor: Mixes foam with water (3%)
  • Foam Branch Pipe: Produces fire-suppressing foam
  • Fire Hoses: 15m or 23m lengths
  • Wheeled Trolley: Easy movement
⚙️ How It Works
  1. Connected to water source (hydrant)
  2. Inductor mixes foam concentrate
  3. Solution flows through hose
  4. Foam blanket suppresses fire
🏭 Common Applications
  • Industrial: Oil refineries, chemical plants
  • Infrastructure: Hangars, terminals, boiler rooms
  • Public Utilities: Bus depots, railway yards, power plants
🔥 Best for flammable liquid (Class B) fires.
